Unicorne LP - CNC Aluminum Case for Corne (Low Profile)
The Unicorne LP is our premium low-profile Corne case, CNC-machined from solid aluminum and designed for low-profile builds using Choc v1 or v2 switches. It’s the ultimate upgrade for your ergonomic split keyboard, whether you’re upgrading from a 3D-printed case or building your first low-profile Corne from scratch.
Purpose-built for travel, comfort, and daily performance, the Unicorne LP elevates your Corne typing experience with a refined, minimalist aesthetic and support for wireless BLE or hot-swap builds.
Designed Around the Corne Layout for Real Typing Comfort
The Unicorne LP follows the beloved Corne split layout — a column-staggered 3x6+3 design that encourages natural hand and finger positioning. When paired with our LP SMT PCB and Kailh Choc switches, you get a compact ergonomic keyboard optimized for comfort and portability.
Split Design: Improve Posture and Reduce Strain
Split keyboards let you position each half shoulder-width apart, reducing the inward rotation caused by traditional boards. This promotes a healthier typing posture and helps prevent shoulder, wrist, and elbow strain.

Column Stagger: Typing Feels More Natural
Each key is aligned vertically with the natural movement of your fingers. This makes every press easier, reducing fatigue and allowing for longer, more comfortable sessions.

Tenting for Optimal Comfort
Add our optional Booster Packs to tent your board at 5° or 10°. These angles lift the keyboard toward your hand, placing your wrists in a more neutral position to reduce tension.
Precision Machined for Low-Profile Corne Builds
-
Low Profile Aluminum Corne Case: Machined from solid aluminum, then bead blasted and anodized for a matte finish. It's sleek, sturdy, and fits in any desk setup or travel bag.
-
FR4 Switch Plates: Included Standard Plates work seamlessly with our Corne LP SMT PCB. Other plates are available for alternate builds (see below).
-
OLED + Joystick Support: Compatible with OLED displays and joysticks when used with compatible PCBs.
-
Backwards Compatible with Corne LP PCBs: Already have a Corne LP PCB? No problem, the Unicorne LP is compatible with most standard low-profile Corne PCBs. Unicorne LP cases use MX-spaced PCBs.
Choose Your Plate
Your plate determines what kind of Corne LP build your Unicorne supports. Each case kit includes one Standard Plate set by default.
-
Standard Plate: Included with every Unicorne LP case. Works with the Unicorne LP SMT PCB (hot swap, solder-free, LEDs, USB-C)
-
Legacy Plate: Required if you're using a traditional DIY Corne LP PCB (solderable) and a Pro-Micro footprint controller like nice!nano or Blok. Enables wireless BLE builds.
-
Pro Plate: An optional upgrade with joystick cutouts for LP builds using compatible modules.
Ready for Wireless BLE Builds
Building a wireless Corne? The Unicorne LP works seamlessly with nice!nano, Supermini, or other BLE-compatible Pro Micro controllers when combined with a Legacy Plate and DIY Corne LP PCB.
To build wireless Corne LP, you'll need:
- A DIY/Solderable Corne LP PCB
- A Legacy Plate
- A BLE controller like nice!nano
This gives you wireless flexibility without sacrificing the premium aluminum form factor.
Tool-less Tenting Support
Want better wrist ergonomics? Add our Booster Packs to enable 5° or 10° tenting angles with no tools. Just thread the legs into the case and go.
