Build 001: The Ghosted Split

 

The Build 001 is the inaugural release from our Boardsource Custom build line, showcasing the artistry and potential of custom keyboard design. This isn't just a kit, it's a complete, ready-to-type, fully assembled 30% split ergonomic keyboard.

We started with a Unicorne MX PCB, then modified it to a compact 5x3 layout by removing the outer columns, giving you a minimal, highly efficient typing surface. Inside its open-source 3D printed case, you'll find lubed Bluish White switches (a nice tactile switche) seated in white hotswap sockets for easy customization down the line. To complete the "ghosted" aesthetic, the keyboard is topped with clean, uniform blank white XDA keycaps and includes a short white USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the two halves.
